Poku Poku Boys is a New York mash-up of Japanese traditions with jazz, funk and other music from around the globe. Charismatic front-man, Tatsuo Karila (vocals/guitar) and Yusuke Seki (musical director/keyboard), join forces with two members of Fred Thomas of the JB's band; Gabriel Caplan (here playing electric bass) and Kaori "Kiki" Nakajima (tenor sax); with J.S Onca on drums, and Tomomi Hazama creating Japanese Calligraphy Art on stage during the performance. Hot off their recent tour of Estonia, Poku Poku Boys will perform hits like; "Sakura (Cherry Blossom)"; "Natsu Matsuri (Summer Festival)"; "Ringo no Uta (Apple Song)"; "Ano Aoi Sora No Youni (Blue Sky)" and new songs from the nabe!
